§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will publish a table showing, for the years 1963 to 1972 inclusive, the total payments made by the holders of duty-free shop franchises at British seaports and airports to their respective authorities, the proportion which these payments represent of the duty which would have been payable in normal circumstances and the percentage which such payments represent of the gross revenue of seaports and airports as a whole respectively.
§ Mr. OnslowNo. This information could be obtained only by disproportionate effort and in any event much of it is a matter of commercial confidence between the airport and seaport authorities on the one hand and the holders of the franchises on the other.
