§ Mr. LaneThese two men are working here temporarily and the Department of Employment is considering applications for their continued employment. A Commonwealth citizen wishing to come to work in the United Kingdom must, in general, be in possession of a work permit. Otherwise, even if admitted, as these men were, without a prohibition on employment, he will have no claim to stay here in employment.
