§ Mr. Leslie Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will invite chief constables to a conference to consider harmonising 207W police procedures for tracing missing persons.
§ Mr. CarlisleThe police do all they can to trace missing persons whom they have reason to believe have come to some harm, and I am in touch with chief officers about the extent to which they might be involved in tracing missing children who are the subject of High Court orders. If the hon. Member has any particular point or case in mind I shall be glad to consider it.
