Dame Irene Wardasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will make a statement on the terms agreed for assisting shipping and shipbuilding resulting from the discussions which have taken place between his Department and the representatives of the Chamber of Shipping and the Shipbuilders and Ship Repairers Organisation.
§ 57. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what decisions have been reached by Her Majesty's Government as to the level of assistance to be given to the shipping and shipbuilding industries to encourage the placing of orders in British yards.

§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe Industrial Development Executive is currently making a study of the long-term prospects of the British shipbuilding industry. Any statement must await the outcome of that study.
