§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (LORD SANDFORD)
The results of the present studies will be available some time next year before a decision is taken whether to proceed to construction. I cannot give148WA the undertaking for which the noble Lord asks. The subject of the studies which the Government have now agreed to complete is a rail tunnel.
