HC Deb 09 May 1972 vol 836 c341W
Mr. Roderick

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many student places are available in the universities of England, and how many in Wales, for training school counsellors; and at which colleges these courses are based.

Mr. van Strauhenzee

I understand that in England 126 students are at present taking full-time or part-time courses for the training of school counsellors at the Universities of Aston, Bristol, Exeter, Keele, Manchester, Newcastle, Reading and Sheffield. In Wales 21 students are taking a course at University College, Swansea.
