HC Deb 02 May 1972 vol 836 cc88-9W
Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will make a statement on the policy of the National Training Agency in giving financial support to industrial safety training courses.

Mr. Chichester-Clark:

The question of financial support for industrial safety training courses will be studied in the light of the comments received on the consultative document, "Training for the Future ", and of the report of the Committee on Safety and Health at Work.

Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received from the British Safety Council and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents about the financing of industrial safety training courses by the National Training Agency.

Mr. Chichester-Clark:

I was glad to receive the views of these two organisations in a joint memorandum which they have submitted on the consultative document "Training for the Future ".
