§ Mr. Dudley Smith:The number of young people under 18 years of age who took up their first employment after leaving school in the footwear manufacturing industry in Norwich in the years 1968 and 1971 was 117 and 157, respectively. I regret that figures are not available for the years 1948 and 1958.
