§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkMy right hon. Friend is satisfied that there has been a considerable degree of progress towards equal pay across a wide sector of the economy. The report on equal pay by the Office of Manpower Economics, which my right hon. Friend expects to receive shortly, will however provide a fuller assessment of the situation.
