§ Mrs. ThatcherThe total of grants being made available this year under the 341W programmes which have been announced and for back-log projects starting in 1972–73 are already much larger than in previous years. I am aware that the allocations to certain local education authorities, particularly for village halls, have fallen short of their expectations and my Department will consider sympathetically applications from them for supplementary grants to enable a start to be made this year on particularly urgent projects which would otherwise have to be deferred.
