§ Mr. Ronald Brown
asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what studies have been made of the consequences for the operation of the Food and Drugs Act, 1955 of the entry of the United Kingdom into the European Community.
§ Mr. Prior
The new situation consequent upon the entry of the United Kingdom into the European Community has been considered in relation to this Act. The necessary amendments are contained in the European Communities Bill. The Food and Drugs (Scotland) Act, 1956, and the Food and Drugs (Northern Ireland) Act, 1958, will be similarly amended.
