§ 72. Mr. Fryasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what hospital services are available or planned for the younger disabled who require long-term care in the Oxford hospital region.
§ Sir K. JosephTwo special units are available at present: one of 11 beds at 83W Booker Hospital, High Wycombe, and one of 30 beds of Townlands Hospital, Henley-on-Thames. In addition, the Regional Hospital Board has contractual arrangements for one bed at each of the following homes:
Four new special units are planned for completion by 1974: one of 40 beds at Prospect Park Hospital, Reading; one of 20 beds at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury; one of 50 beds at Churchill Hospital, Oxford; and one of 20 beds at Manfield Hospital, Northampton. The unit at Reading will replace the present unit at Townlands Hospital.
