§ Mr. Dudley SmithIn Bolton, where the Youth Employment Service is provided by the local education authority, there is already good liaison between careers officers and the schools. The 25 school leavers registered as unemployed in January represent less than 2 per cent. of the 1,500 young people who left school last summer.
In the circumstances I do not think it is necessary to take further steps to improve local liaison.
