§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsNo. Insurance cover for mountain climbing expeditions, or for any other hazardous pursuit, is a matter for the individual participant. Mountain rescue operations, in the event of an accident, are regarded as a public service and the costs are not recovered from those rescued.
