58. Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will

vide for the continuation by the United Kingdom of her present import restraints on cotton textiles, including those on cotton yarn, from Japan, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Egypt and Taiwan. The United Kingdom will also retain existing restraint arrangements on cotton textiles, including yarn, with countries other than the Mediterranean countries referred to above.—[Vol. 846, c. 469–70.]
