§ Mr. OnslowBOAC has ordered five aircraft and Air France four. The Chinese National Airline has signed a preliminary purchase agreement for three aicraft and Iranair have signed a letter of intent to purchase two aircraft with an option on a third. There are 12 other airlines holding a total of 48 options, and the manufacturers hope to negotiate further contracts as soon as possible. It is impossible to forecast when these negotiations will be concluded.
