HL Deb 08 August 1972 vol 334 cc1088-9WA
LORD BROCKWAY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

On what date the Misses Aruna and Varsa Manilal Kotecha, United Kingdom citizens and passport holders of East African origin, arrived in this country; on what date they were first sent to India; when they arrived back in the United Kingdom; on what date they were deported to Delhi for the second time; by what airline and on what flight number; and whether the Misses Kotecha have now been returned by the Indian authorities to this country for the second time.

VISCOUNT COLVILLE OF CULROSS

The Misses Kotecha and their brother arrived for settlement on May 25 without the necessary documents of entitlement. After careful consideration of their case they were refused admission and removed on June 2, but returned on June 5. After their cases had been further considered, they were removed on July 31 on Pan American Airways flight UA2. They again returned on August 3 and were then admitted for three months.
