§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will organise an independent investigation into how and why Daniel Burns, a man sentenced to nine years' imprisonment, was, whilst serving his sentence in Wakefield Prison Hostel, allowed to purchase a car and a rifle; and what action he proposes to take to tighten up prison discipline in general and in this prison in particular.
