§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Attorney-General why, in view of the recommendation of the 1966 Royal Commission on Tribunals of Inquiry that tribunals should not nominate officers of the Crown to act for them, he has not taken action to carry out the Commission's recommendation.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI discussed with the Tribunal of Inquiry appointed to investigate matters relating to the Vehicle and General Insurance Company whether I should appear as counsel for the Tribunal. At its request, I shall appear to assist the Tribunal whenever it wishes me to do so. The day-to-day presentation of evidence and examination of witnesses will normally be conducted by Mr. John Arnold, Q.C., and the other members of the team of counsel.
