HL Deb 05 May 1971 vol 318 c446WA
LORD DELACOURT-SMITH

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will provide such information as is available to bring up to date, by furnishing annual figures for the years since 1966, the table of incidence of unofficial strikes analysed by industry group and by cause which appears on page 101 of the Report of the Royal Commission on Trade Unions and Employers' Associations 1965-68 (Cmnd. 3623).

THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (LORD DRUMALBYN)

The analysis specially undertaken for the Donovan Commission involved a considerable amount of work both in the separate identification of unofficial strikes and in preparing the breakdown by cause and industry. It has not been repeated. An annual analysis by cause and industry of all stoppages due to industrial disputes is published annually in the May issue of theDepartment of Employment Gazette.
