§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he is aware that already high wages and opportunities offered in the European Economic Community are attracting workers from the United Kingdom to countries in the Six; and whether, as a means of assisting 350W Great Britain's entry and to ensure that skilled workers remain in Great Britain, he will take whatever action may be open to him to encourage wage increases in this country.
§ Mr. BryanThe level of money wages is only one of the factors which affects the movement of workers between countries. As regards the second part of the hon. Member's Question, I would refer him to the answer given him on 10th December, 1970.—[Vol. 808, c. 157–8.]
