Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundancies have been notified to his Department from Northern Ireland in each month during the past 12 months; and of these how many affected male workers.

None, as this is a matter for the Northern Ireland Government.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many persons were unemployed, males and females, giving the percentage of unemployment in each case, in each employment exchange area in Northern Ireland to the nearest available date; and how this compares with the same month in the last five years.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people in the age group categories covered by the Youth Employment Service are presently unemployed in Northern Ireland; and of these how many have never obtained employment since leaving school.
