asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many working days were lost through industrial stoppages in the first half of 1969, the second half of 1969, the first half of 1970, the second half of 1970 and in 1971 to the latest available date.

The figures are 2,668,000 and 4,178,000 for the two six-month periods in 1969, 4,999,000 and 5,970,000 for the two periods in 1970 and 1,988,000
