asked the Lord President of the Council what further action is being taken to improve the security of the House of Commons.

Mr. Whitelaw

On the recommendation of the Services Committee, Mr. Speaker has agreed to a number of administrative measures to improve security, and in particular he has agreed that all staff employed in the House of Commons should in future be required to carry a photo identity pass.
