HC Deb 09 March 1971 vol 813 cc87-8W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will give a breakdown analysis of the 8,085 postcards and letters which he received during the week commencing 21st February, 1971; how

period of 12 months on the subject of agricultural import quotas; and state which Department is responsible for each such negotiation.

The Prime Minister

The information is contained in the table below. The Department formally leading the negotiations varies but there is full interdepartmental discussion throughout and decisions are the responsibility of Ministers collectively.

The following is the information:

many of the 7,953 which related to the postal workers' strike expressed support or opinions in favour of the dispute; and how many were against.

The Prime Minister

I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave to a Question on this matter from the hon. Member on 2nd March.—[Vol. 810, c. 418.]
