HC Deb 08 March 1971 vol 813 cc27-8W
Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many men and women, respectively, were in full-time employment in Cornwall in February, 1970, and February, 1971.

Mr. Dudley-Smith

Employment estimates for counties can be made by aggregating mid-year estimates for local areas, the latest of which are for June, 1969. The estimated number of employees in employment in Cornwall excluding Saltash and Torpoint at June, 1969, was 96,400 —61,700 males and 34,700 females. Estimates for June, 1970, will be available later this year. The estimates do not separately distinguish those employed full time and part time.
