§ Mr. Moateasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received on the subject of high pressure selling techniques employed by salesmen of gas appliances, particularly in cases arising from the need for conversion to natural gas of appliances owned by old age pensioners; and if he will issue an appropriate general direction to nationalised industries.
§ Mr. RidleyWe have received four representations, three of which concerned old-age pensioners. Control of their salesmen is a matter for the area gas boards who investigate specific complaints brought to their notice.
