§ Mrs. ThatcherThe Department published an Education Information leaflet on metrication in schools which was issued to local education authorities on 29th October, 1969, under cover of Administrative Memorandum No. 15/69. This recommended that schools should make plans to familiarise pupils of all ages with metric measures.
