HL Deb 16 December 1971 vol 326 c1339WA

THE EARL OF SELKIRK asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the line of the Inner and Outer Roads by-passing Wimborne, Dorset, have been decided; and when it is hoped that the work will be started on either of these two by-pass roads.

LORD SANDFORD

A study of the relative merits and costs of a relief road and a by-pass for Wimborne was recently completed. The report is at present being examined by the Department of the Environment. It will be some time before firm conclusions can be reached and until then it is not possible to forecast when work is likely to start on either of the schemes.
