HC Deb 30 October 1970 vol 805 c218W
Mr. Robert Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has to amend the Industrial Training Act, 1964.

Mr. Dudley Smith

Any necessary amendment of the Act will be considered in the light of my right hon. Friend's review of the work of the industrial training boards, which is now in progress.

Mr. Robert Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the total number of staff in his Department who are engaged wholly or partly on the modifications of the Industrial Training Act, 1964.

Mr. Dudley Smith

None. No one is employed specifically on modifying the Act, but some 12 staff are engaged wholly or partly on the review of industrial training.
