HC Deb 29 October 1970 vol 805 c182W
Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many fall-out suits are stockpiled; what is the rate of manufacture; what plans he has for distribution; and whether it is his policy that every person in the United Kingdom shall have a suit.

Mr. Sharples

I do not know what the hon. Member means by a "fall-out suit". No clothing capable of protecting the wearer from the effects of fall-out is manufactured or stockpiled in this country.
