§ Mr. MaudlingAs general allegations of incidents involving intimidation and violence have received widespread publicity, I called for reports from the chief officers of police of the areas mainly concerned. I am informed that in these areas no specific complaints have been received by the police and that no proceedings have been instituted as a result of any incidents connected with the dispute.
