HC Deb 26 November 1970 vol 807 c189W
Mr. Concannon

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what reports he has had from his chief constables with regard to intimidation and violence by mineworkers' pickets during the recent unofficial strike; and how many prosecutions are taking place.

Mr. Maudling

As general allegations of incidents involving intimidation and violence have received widespread publicity, I called for reports from the chief officers of police of the areas mainly concerned. I am informed that in these areas no specific complaints have been received by the police and that no proceedings have been instituted as a result of any incidents connected with the dispute.
