asked the Minister of State for Defence what is the rule concerning the flying of flags and standards from Government House, Hillsborough, Northern Ireland; what flags and standards can be displayed; and on what days and hours they have to be displayed.

This building may fly the Royal Standard and the Union Flag during the hours of daylight on appropriate occasions. In addition, personal standards may be flown by the Governor while in residence and by a visiting member of the Royal Family in the absence of Her Majesty.
