HC Deb 18 November 1970 vol 806 c431W
90. Mr. English

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make arrangements for the translation, as soon as practicable, of major policy documents of the European Economic Community during the period of the negotiations on the British application for entry to the Community.

Mr. Rippon

Arrangements exist for the translation and placing in the Library of the House of major policy documents of the European Communities.

Mr. Body

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will place in the Library of the House a copy of the collection of essays published in London of the former Secretary of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, in particular the essay of the Chairman of the Committee of Deputies of the Group of Ten that sets out the reasons why the £ sterling must be devalued if the United Kingdom enters the European Economic Community.

Mr. Kershaw

I am trying to obtain copies and will certainly place them in the Library of the House. The 14 essays in this collection, including that by the Chairman of the Committee of Deputies of the Group of Ten, reflect only the personal views of their authors.
