§ Mr. Darlingasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) whether he will extend his study of controls on exports of steelworks scrap to include an examination of the price-fixing arrangements between steel producers and scrap suppliers in the home market;
(2) when he expects to complete his study of the controls on exports of steelworks scrap; and whether, in the course of his study, he has consulted, or intends to consult, the British Scrap Federation.
§ Sir J. EdenAs part of my review of the Government's relations with industry, I am studying the operation of these controls. I will be consulting interested parties but I cannot at present say when the study will be completed.
