§ Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) whether he will commission a study of the suitability of siting the third London airport on reclaimed land in the Severn Estuary;
(2) whether he will widen the search for a new international airport to include areas more suited environmentally than those already nominated; and whether he will take into account the pending introduction by British Railways of new high-speed trains.
§ Mr. NobleNo. The terms of reference of the Commission on the Third London Airport did not preclude consideration by the Commission of all the points referred to by my hon. Friend.
