Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity why the appointment of the Chairman of the Commission for Industry and Manpower was not ready to be made public on 7th May; what change of circumstances enabled her to disclose the appointment on 8th May; and whether the level of salary was investigated by the National Board for Prices and Incomes.
