§ Mr. Hattersley:It would not be in the public interest to disclose the disposition of troops on particular dates, but during the period 1st to 10th May some 1,100 regular soldiers and some 220 members of the Ulster Defence Regiment were engaged on arms security checks in Northern Ireland.
