§ 46 and 47. Sir Richard Glynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Depart- 312W ment (1) if he will now state the number of indictable offences known to the police which involved the use of one or more firearms in 1969;
(2) how many crimes involving the use of firearms were known to the police in the 12 months to the last convenient date; how many of these crimes involved wounding by shooting and killing by shooting, respectively; how many were committed during robberies; and what were the comparable figures for the preceding 12 months.
§ Mr. Elystan Morgan:I regret that the figures for 1969 which are necessary to answer both these Questions are not yet available. I hope to have them shortly and will write to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
