§ Mr. Bishopasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that it is proposed to use a British ship for an exhibition at sea involving the sale of pornographic books, pictures and films; and if he will give an assurance that he will institute proceedings under the Customs and Excise Act, 1952, and other legislation to prevent the importing of such articles.
§ Mr. Taverne:The importation of indecent or obscene articles is prohibited 156W and any necessary action will be taken by Customs who are responsible for enforcing the prohibition.
