HC Deb 06 May 1970 vol 801 c132W
70. Mr. Gower

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give an assurance that no final decision will be taken by him concerning the proposals of the Welsh Hospital Board, in relation to hospital plans for the area of Cardiff and South-East Glamorgan, until local authorities in those areas are given an opportunity of discussing such proposals with him and making to him such representations as they deem necessary.

Mr. George Thomas:

If the final proposals of the hospital authorities differ significantly from those on which they have carried out consultations, they will be made known to interested authorities and organisations so that there may be a further opportunity to comment before I announce any final decision.
