HC Deb 24 March 1970 vol 798 c385W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what consideration he is giving to that section of Carlisle Road situated between the Chapelhall boundary and the old car terminus, Clarkston, regarding road widening and inclusion of pedestrian crossings; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ross

I understand that Airdrie Town Council has no immediate plans for widening this road, but I am considering its proposals for a pedestrian crossing at the junction with South Biggar Road and Craigneuk Avenue.
