Mr. Oakes

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when the studies of vibration syndrome, pneumoconiosis and occupational deafness, respectively, were first referred to the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council; and when its conclusions are expected on each of these industrial diseases.

Mr. Ennals

These three studies were formally remitted to the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council on 13th January, 1967, 1st August, 1968 and 16th October, 1969, respectively.

I cannot say when the council will be in a position to report on any of these matters.
