HC Deb 17 March 1970 vol 798 c114W
Mr. Lawler

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will institute an inquiry into the circumstances in which Colin Derek Greehall emerged from Winson Green Prison on 7th March, 1970 with a missing front tooth and a blacked eye, after committal to the prison on 6th March, 1970 for non-payment of rates and costs; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Shirley Williams

I understand that the police have asked to make inquiries in the prison. The governor and his staff will offer them all possible facilities for their investigation.
