§ 15. Mr. Pardoeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what percentage of the value of the United Kingdom's total production of beef and lamb is produced on hill farms.
§ Mr. HoyAs the hon. Member knows hill farms are a major source of store animals for breeding and fattening elsewhere. Possibly half the sheep and a seventh of the cattle fattened in any year originally came from hill areas but much of their weight and value will have been added in the lowlands.
