Mr. Palmer

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the closure of hospital accommodation at Bristol Royal Infirmary due to shortage of nursing staff.

Mr. Crossman

I am informed that one small ward is at present closed because of shortage of nursing staff. The board of governors is at present considering a report on this.
