HC Deb 10 March 1970 vol 797 c288W
Mr. John Wells

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will accept as having degree status those students who qualify in speech therapy in the schools and colleges recognised by the College of Speech Therapy.

Mr. Crossman

No distinction is made as regards eligibility for employment or terms and conditions of service in the National Health Service; all National Health Service speech therapists are required to possess a certificate from the College of Speech Therapists that their training satisfies the National Health Service (Speech Therapists) Regulations 1964.
