HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 c218W
Mr. Gourlay

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the financial burden on parents of children required to travel from Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh for orthodontic treatment; and when such treatment will be made available at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

There is a scheme for assisting patients to whom the cost of travelling to hospital causes hardship. The South-Eastern Regional Hospital Board has agreed that orthodontic treatment should be available at Kirkcaldy and is presently examining means of providing the additional accommodation required to enable this treatment to be provided.
