HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 cc217-8W
Mr. Alexander Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the first phase of the new school building of the Holy Cross Secondary School will be completed, and at what cost; when the second phase of building will start; and at what approximate cost.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

The extension now under construction is scheduled for completion in November, 1971, but may be ready earlier. It is estimated to cost £706,000. I understand that Lanarkshire Education Authority intends in addition to remodel the present main building at an estimated cost of £50,000 but have not yet fixed a starting date for this work. Accommodation, not yet planned or costed, will also be required for physical education.
