§ Mrs. Doris Fisherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the number of temporary buildings, church halls, community centres, etc., which are with her approval used as school annexes for primary children in Birmingham.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeTemporary accommodation of this kind does not normally require my right hon. Friend's approval. I understand that there are 15 such annexes in use in Birmingham compared with 45 in 1960. The Local Education Authority hope to give up six of the 15 in the next three years as numbers decline.
